Rescheduled from Monday, October 6, 2025 (lack of quarum)
President Renea Huinker called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m.
Members present: Renea Huinker, Cathy Humpal, Librarian, Nancy Babcock, and Sandy Busta. Those absent were Ralph Steinlage and Randy Kuennen.
Approval of Agenda: Sandy made a motion, with a second by Nancy, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: Nancy made a motion, with a second from Sandy, to approve the September minutes. Motion carried.
Financial Report: Sandy made a motion, with a second from Nancy, to pay the September bills. Motion carried.

President Renea Huinker called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m.
Members present: Renea Huinker, Cathy Humpal, Librarian, Nancy Babcock, and Sandy Busta. Those absent were Ralph Steinlage and Randy Kuennen.
Approval of Agenda: Sandy made a motion, with a second by Nancy, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: Nancy made a motion, with a second from Sandy, to approve the September minutes. Motion carried.
Financial Report: Sandy made a motion, with a second from Nancy, to pay the September bills. Motion carried.
Unfinished Business:
- Holocaust Speaker: Sandy shared the info she had learned after talking with Brad Wilkening. After discussion, it was decided to go ahead and have Brad speak in Lawler. Sandy will work out the details as to date, place, time, etc. (However in the next 2 days, Sandy discovered Brad was already going to speak in Sumner and St. Lucas. After talking with Renea and Cathy, we decided to have Brad come another time, possibly next spring or fall.)
- IPIB Training: Cathy and Nancy shard info they learned after going through this training for all new members of our Library Board and other interested people.
New Business:
- Trinity School Students Library Visit: After some discussion it was decided that Cathy would contact the principal about their interest in visiting our library, transportation, what grades would come, etc. and report back to us next month.
Librarian’s Report
- Circulation Report: Numbers were lower in most areas. We also discussed some about our interlibrary loan deliveries.
- Programs: Book Club had 4 participating. Wednesday Card Club had about 20 attending. The Family Time Story Hours had 8 uses by kids.
- Upcoming Meetings: The County Trustee Meeting is Oct. 21 at Alta Vista at 6:30 p.m. The Board of Supervisors Meeting is Nov. 17 at 9:10 a.m. There is a Library Directors meeting every 3 months.
